Clarity Track Development:  Yakkertech IP License

Clarity has secured a worldwide license to all of Yakkertech Limited's current IP in the field of golf.  A working alpha version is currently being tested in Clarity's lab, integrated with the GSPro simulator software.  This system currently is showing expected high fidelity ball data of velocity, vertical and horizontal launch, and spin rate and axis.  The delivery of these data needs further work.  Processing latency is high and while acceptable for launch monitor and lab applications, exponential gains are required for sims.  A clear path has been determined and resources identified to accomplish the latency task.  Other matters such as outlier shots, false triggers, and final illumination and camera placement plan are required.

Clarity Trak Development:  Internal and Third-Party Simulator Software Licensing

E6:  Clarity has made arrangements with Trugolf to license its E6 golf sim software engine for Clarity's Lab and Sim applications.  E6 is the current industry standard for indoor golf simulators.

GSPro:  Clarity has also established a most interesting alliance with
GSPro which promises to provide Clarity with the most robust and elegant long term interface solution not only for Clarity's proprietary simulator and launch monitor products, but also with respect to third party simulators and launch monitors and the enabling of integration of other Clarity products.

The Golf Club:  Clarity also is considering a license with
 The Golf Club simulator engines.

Clarity Vu
Products:

  • Vu Basic:  The first release iteration of Vu Basic will be an app that will transform a smartphone or tablet into a powerful sequential-skeletal markerless body tracking system.  Tools will be provided to enable the user to extract chosen data points with quantification capabilities designed for golf swing analysis.   This product promises to radically disrupt the golf body tracking industry.  Vu will be expanded to a studio-based multi-camera system.  The Vu core technology will be under license with individual professors and graduate students from the University of Waterloo for exclusive worldwide commercial application in the field of golf.
  • Gray Institute 3D MAPS for Golf:  Applying IP and content produced and developed by Gray Institute, the world leader in the science of human motion, a complete curriculum on applying data analysis of every major joint complex in the human body for each individual subject will be applied with respect to dynamic swing development related to physical proficiencies and deficiencies.  Gray Institute initially perfected its golf curriculum in partnership with Nike Golf.  Gray Institute is the only logo in history that was permitted to associate itself with the Nike swoosh.  3D MAPS for golf will be capable of using integrated Azure Kinect cameras as developed by Gray Institute, Clarity's smartphone and tablet Vu technology, and a more accurate studio-based multi-camera system developed by Clarity.
  • Virtual Pro:  All iterations of Vu will be used to power a "virtual pro" engine developed by Clarity which will integrate the teaching curriculum of a Clarity-designed teaching system as well as the curriculums of multiple teaching pros.  This content will be integrated into Clarity's virtual pro engine over time.
  • Virtual Biomechanist:  All iterations of Vu will be used to power a "virtual biomechanist" with content exclusively provided by the world's most recognized golf biomechanist, Jean Jacques, Rivet.  J.J. is the biomechanist to the European TOUR, a twenty-five year associate of David Leadbetter, and the owner of a golf biomechanics teaching facility at Terre Blanche in Provence France.
  • Virtual Dynamic Club Fitter:  All iterations of Vu will be used to power a "virtual dynamic club fitter" with content exclusively provided by the inventor of dynamic club fitting, Randy Henry.  Randy is the founder of Henry-Griffitts, the seminal progenitor of the science and business of club fitting, including dynamic club fitting.

Vu Development:

Clarity Vu will utilize world-leading 3D Pose Estimation optics technology developed at the University of Waterloo by Dr. Alexander Wong, Dr. John McPhee, and PhD candidate Will McNally.   This system applies a deep learning neural network which is initially trained by devouring large quantities of high fidelity sequential-skeletal human golf swing data measured via the likes of high end Vicon capture systems costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.  These data along with time-synced video are fed into the neural network which learns how to extract high fidelity data from simple 2D video, including such as can be downloaded via YouTube.  Once it receives its "graduate degree", the neural network then continues endlessly to learn more and get smarter and more accurate via its own activities--as a doctor out of residency continues to learn throughout his or her career.  This IP will enable Clarity Vu to perform at a very high level similar to multi hundred thousand dollar analysis studios but using a single six dollar camera in a smartphone.

Dr. Wong is a tenured professor of Optics and holder of a Canada Research Chair on Medical Imaging.  He is a world renowned researcher and lecturer on the topics of advanced software-centric imaging technology and deep learning neural networks.  Dr. McPhee is a tenured professor of Dynamics and holder of a Canada Research Chair on multibody system dynamics.  Will McNally's MASc research was on the interaction between golfers and their equipment using a three-dimensional dynamic model of the golf swing.  His PhD research is on developing lightweight deep learning models for mobile computer vision applications in sport and human motion.  Further examples of this group's research relative to Clarity Vu can be find in example 1, example 2, and example 3.

Clarity Force
Products:

  • Clarity Balance 1D:  This will be the first release.
  • Clarity Balance 3D:  This will be a future release which will be considered for a future proprietary golf shoe fitting product in partnership with Gary Gray.

In alliance with Koparo, Clarity will manage worldwide exclusive marketing, sales, and distribution of Koparo's force plate IP with integrated biomechanics analysis content by Jean Jacques Rivet.
